2. General information
We process personal data only insofar as this is necessary to provide a functional website, to process orders and to respond to enquiries. The legal bases are in particular Art. 6(1)(a) (consent), (b) (contract), (c) (legal obligation) and (f) (legitimate interests) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
3. Hosting and shop system
Our online shop is operated via Shopify (Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 2nd Floor, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland). Shopify processes data such as IP addresses, order and customer data on our behalf. Data may be transferred to third countries (e.g. Canada, USA); such transfers are based on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Orders
To process your order, we process your name, address, email address, telephone number (optional), payment and order data (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For delivery, we pass your data to the shipping company we use. Due to commercial and tax law requirements, we store order data for up to ten years.
5. Payment service providers
Depending on the payment method you choose, we pass payment data to the relevant payment provider, e.g. Shopify Payments (Stripe), PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., or Klarna Bank AB (publ). The privacy policies of these providers apply to their processing of your data.
6. Contacting us
If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process your details to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer required.
7. Newsletter
We use a double opt-in procedure for our newsletter. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.
8. Cookies
We use technically necessary cookies that are required to operate the shop (e.g. the shopping cart). We only use non-essential cookies (e.g. for analytics or marketing) with your consent via our cookie banner (Section 25 TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
9. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
10. Storage period
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purposes or as required by statutory retention periods.
